Option Packs

PrimePixel's hosting packages are based on the "get what you need" philosophy, rather than the too-common "drown you with features, and leave you to wallow in it" approach of the less professional volume discounters.

We pride ourselves in providing a high-quality service for the components you can actually use, with value-added extensions like ease-of-use and powerful non-standard extras like our more advanced anti-virus and anti-SPAM solutions.

Professional, reliable hosting backed by performance-tuned system configurations, quality network infrastructure and high-level support is harder to quantify in a features tick-list, but you won't find it often because volume-is-king crowd just can't afford to offer it.

On top of our own advanced hosting extensions, we can offer those endless lists of features most people never use - but we prefer to bundle the significant ones into our "Option Packs" in logical groupings that let people with specific needs get their specific requirements satisfied.

The Option Packs have been carefully constructed for their suitability to the specific requirements of certain types of hosting. Our main hosting packages cover all the most common needs for "typical" sites, while Option Packs let those who have special requirements add features as and when they need them.

Pricing

All option packs (except the Monster, which is effectively two to three packs in one) are priced identically, at $7 a month or $70 a year (plus GST). For many customers, an option pack satisfies their specific needs without them having to upgrade to a higher-level plan to get the features they need.

If you have any unusual combination of needs, just ask us - we're happy to come up with custom solutions if needed. Otherwise, check out these Option Packs available as add-ons to any of our main packages:

Email Pack: Provides an extra 25 Email Accounts plus 250 MB of disk space. Email is accessible via WebMail, IMAP, and POP3.

Email Extension and Enhancement Pack: Aimed at users of our base packages, this adds user-tuneable anti-virus and anti-SPAM configuration, domain mail forwarding, email filtering, email tracing, catch-all capability, and access to the advanced @Mail WebMail client with its calendar/scheduling and Outlook synchronisation.

Multi-Domain Pack: For those needing to host multiple domains on their site, or park alternative domains on top of their existing domains. The Multi-Domain pack provides for 5 add-on domains, 5 parked domains, 10 subdomains and an extra 5 FTP logins. This is popular with web developers wanting to host customer sites while giving them their own access.

Forum Pack: Whether it be company, fellowship, user group, or friends, often people want to run a forum or discussion/bulletin board. We have a number of these to choose from, and this pack includes the forum software as well as the MySQL database needed to store the conversations. phpMyAdmin is also included for GUI database management.

Database Pack: Need databases for your data-driven website, customer lists, mailing lists, and the like? The database packprovides 10 MySQL databases, includes phpMyAdmin for GUI database management, and makes a bonus extra mailing list available.

eCommerce Pack: If you're planning to run an online store, you'll need eCommerce software, also known as a shopping cart (we have several for you to choose from), plus the required MySQL database, phpMyAdmin for GUI database management, plus an extra subdomain. (Note: If you want to run an SSL-secured site, for example to take credit card orders while keeping your customers confident, you need a fixed IP address and the certificate itself, both extra-cost options).

Resource Pack: Web site growing in size and popularity? This pack gives you an extra 100 MB of disk space for your files and an extra Gigabyte of data transfer each month.

CGI Software Pack: For those who want to run a large selection of pre-packaged scripts, from hit counters to guestbooks to site search to form generators and more, this pack provides the scripts and, where needed, the databases to support them.

Monster Pack: For those who want all the bells and whistles, the Monster Pack combines the CGI Software Pack with a super-script collection and a double-dose of databases: 20 MySQL databases, phpMyAdmin for GUI database management, 15 CGI scripts, and our 60-plus special script collection which includes CRM, Helpdesk, Blogs, Wikis, Mailing List managers, collaborative project management, FAQ/Help software, and a lot, lot more.
